25 Days of Christmas

Merry Christmas to all of my blogging buddies and fellow teachers!!  Here is a game for you to use in your small groups when you get back in January.  My babies will be Dibeled on Nonsense Word Fluency in January and I have not really done much practice with it, so I thought this would be perfect! Hurry... before you MELT!!!

    I have a question for you . . .how did you get that picture to transport me from TBA to your page? That's a HUGE hurdle - and it's probably, possibly, maybe quite simple? Inquiring minds (and boggled ones!) would LOVE to know how to do that - thanks!

    Barbara - When you are composing your post, click on the picture you want people to click - then you will have to click the word "link" up at the top and a pop up box will come up and will allow you to put what you page you want to link your image too... iI hope this makes sense - if there is an easier way to do it - I would love to know!! :)

    I have used this type of game a lot in my classroom - used it with letter names/letter sounds/numbers/sight words etc... i used nonsense words because it will be assessed pretty soon after we get back from break. I made a ladybug version of this game last year and my kiddos got some good practice from it - so wanted this game to fit in with our winter/snowman theme in January.

    Thanks for sharing. My first graders were DIBEL'ed on nonsense words this week, but I'll still use it since we progress monitor that every week. Merry Christmas to you!

    We "dibeled" day before yesterday!! This midyear test is so tough for my firsties having to add Oral Reading for the first time. It makes my head hurt to look at the data. lol

    loving it! Thank you! Can I tell you that even half of my 2nd graders have a hard time with nonsense words...even at CVC level?? yeesh!
